Electric vehicles have rapidly developed over the last decade after Tesla captured the imagination of the world with their new and highly innovative electric car.

In response to the requirements in EV systems PEC has developed a range of high quality aluminium housed resistors which can be used in charging circuits, inverters, battery protection applications and also provides specialised current sensing resistors for control applications.

EV Chargers, especially fast charge circuits, require high power resistors with high overload capacity to protect the charging capacitors.

PEC can provide UL approved, overload tested and optimised resistors for these applications.

PEC has a special set of resistors customised for safety applications where a large quantity of stored energy has to be dissipated in a short burst. These have optimised energy absorbing capability for a limited number of such discharges in a small envelope size.
